"THANK YOU, FOLKS!"

by Brad Otts, Club President

I'm getting accustomed to thanking a lot of people for the great shows and show-ups at Flightmasters field. Our flying events have been fabulous! It's getting to the point that we need to somehow come up with more vehicle parking space -- a "good" problem to have for our fly-ins. 2007 has been another fine year for the club! And thanks to all of you, I'm also getting used to announcing: "Let's make next year's fly-ins even better."

What this means is that we are having fun. We gather at the field to enjoy the hobby -- not only to fly our models, but to enjoy the fellowship, tell "war" stories, trade ideas and tips, help other modelers and prospective modelers. We would not go to the flying field if it was a chore. In order to have a successful and enjoyable fly-in however, some amount of work is involved. So to those who worked to make it happen, I say Thank You for your time and effort.

We are lucky in that the property owner is generous to FLightmasters Club -- they charge us NOTHING to use their property. Our flying field is almost ideal, we keep it clean and safe and this takes a lot of work too. We must continue working to keep it a safe place. It's very simple, we must be safe or lose the field or the club, or both. With that said, I should also mention that we seem to be doing it right -- we're still there.

Flightmasters M.A.C. is alive and well!

Keep 'em Safe,

Keep 'em Flying.

Brad
